Hogan Leads Undefeated Deerfield Over Mather

For 12 minutes, Mather traded blows with host Deerfield Saturdaynight in a matchup of unbeatens.

Midway through the second quarter, Deerfield was the only teamthrowing leather, busting open a close game with Ryan Hogan outsideand Mike Casey inside to blow out the Public League visitor 82-52.

The Warriors improved to 7-0 with Hogan logging 29 points on12-of-18 shooting to go with six assists and Casey adding 17 pointsand nine boards.

"We got buzzsawed by a pretty good team," Mather coach JimNelsen said.
